Flour Sack Towel Care Instructions

washing-flour-sack-towels.jpeg
Flour sack towels are the ideal kitchen or bar accessory. They can do many household tasks from clean up, polishing, dusting, food prep, and more.

With proper care, our 100% cotton flour sack towels will last years and even gain softness and absorbency.
After their time is up, you can rest easy knowing they are totally biodegradable and can actually be composted.

So, here are the basics for care:

  • Wash separately or in a small load of like colors in cold water. Hand washing works too.
  • Use mild detergent.
  • NO bleach - Instead try white vinegar or baking soda for tough stains (bleach can weaken fibers).
  • NO fabric softener (it will hinder the natural absorbency).
  • Do not iron directly over design, but you can certainly iron over the backside.
  • Hang to dry (recommended) or tumble dry on low heat.
  • Expect some natural fading of the design over time/washings.

And there you have it - easy peasy!  But hey, you do you...These are just our recommendations for the longest ware.
We have wash tested in a variety of ways to give you the best results, but we all get in a hurry and you certainly won't ruin your towel if you wash it in hot water and dry in a hot dryer...Just expect fading to happen more quickly along with a bit of shrinkage!
